A Tea Bridge Between Russia and Bangladesh

An unusual cultural event was held at Pabna University of Science and Technology in Bangladesh. A Russian student construction team that had come to work at the Rooppur NPP and Bangladeshi students gathered over a cup of tea to talk about education, science and nuclear energy. The meeting was organised by the Rooppur NPP Public Reception Office in Ishwardi, while ANO Energy of the Future provided project management.
Participants taught one another phrases in their native languages and discussed challenges in education and prospects for cooperation. The event concluded with a tea party featuring Bangladeshi tea and Russian treats. The guests exchanged souvenirs and shared their warm impressions.
The meeting showed that cultural differences are not an obstacle; on the contrary, they help people find common ground and solutions even to the most serious issues.
